Dr. Murali Macherla is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon affiliated with Arizona Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons who specializes in Esophageal and Lung cancer as well as Gastroesophageal Reflux disease. Dr. Murali Macherla also performs Robot Assisted Thoracic surgeries, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgeries, and Endovascular repairs on Thoracic, Visceral, and Abdominal artery Aneurysms. Beyond his specialties in the operating room, Dr. Murali Macherla has delivered multiple presentations at professional conferences, including "Is Diaphragmatic Injury a Pointer to Aortic Injury in Blunt Trauma?", which he delivered at the Zimmerman Symposium , and "Concomitant Diaphragmatic and Aortic Transection After Blunt Trauma" at the Southeastern Surgical Conference. Board certified in both Cardiothoracic and General surgery, Dr. Macherla completed an Endovascular Fellowship at Arizona Heart Institute. He completed Residencies at the University of New Mexico and Temple University's Memorial Medical Center.He is an active member at various Ccommittees at Banner Boswell and Del E webb Medical centers.
